Clypcat ("we", "us", "our") provides a clip processing and sharing service. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect file uploads, clip metadata, service logs, and account/session data when you use Google Sign-In. We may also collect analytics data when consent is granted.

2. How We Use Information

We use data to operate and secure the service, process and deliver clips, manage accounts and sessions, diagnose issues, and prevent abuse.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Essential cookies may be used for authentication/session continuity. Non-essential analytics storage is disabled until user consent is provided where required.

4. Sharing

We may use service providers (such as hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, and webhook providers) strictly to operate Clypcat. We do not sell personal data.

5. Data Retention

Guest clips are retained for 7 days. Clips created while signed in are retained for 30 days. Signed-in owners may mark selected clips for permanent retention, subject to the displayed account storage quota. Removing permanent retention starts a new 30-day retention period.

Temporary uploads, original files, preview conversions, and upload chunks are deleted after processing or operational cleanup. For a completed clip, we retain only the final MP4, thumbnail, and a small metadata record for the applicable retention period.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us to submit requests.

7. Children

Clypcat is not intended for children under 13.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date.
